Welcome to the Parent Child Interaction Therapy Certification Experience. Please click on the course name to your left to enter the Certification Experience.
Prior to taking the exam, it is recommended that you read the short article "A History of PCIT" which is available in the PCIT Certification Experience module. You may also wish to read or review the 2011 PCIT protocol and the DPIC's IV manual.
Please note that this is an "open protocol" test meaning that you may consult your PCIT protocol and DPIC's manual and any time during the exam. The exam is not timed and you will receive feedback about your answers as the exam progresses. Please hit "check" to submit your answers. The exam is designed to be an interactive learning experience that will help promote good treatment integrity.
The exam is designed for therapists who have been trained in Parent Child Interaction Therapy and therapists who have completed this training should be able to master the exam.
You will have 3 opportunities to pass the exam with a score of 85%. If you do not pass in 3 attempts then the PCIT training committee will contact you about possible learning options. If you pass the exam, you will be contacted soon with the final information regarding PCIT certification.
You may begin the exam at anytime within 90 days after you receive your link to the exam.
